Why an Urban Renewal Scheme Touches a Metro Platform three consequences of joining the bridge
The building's second-floor skybridge connects directly into the structure of Zhongxiao Fuxing station. The station is elevated and its platforms sit on the third floor, so the joint lands immediately against platform structure that is in service. That adjacency — not the scale of the tower — is what makes an urban renewal project a metro operations problem.
- Cutting into structureThe existing viaduct and station walls must be cut, drilled and fitted with dowels; this work was carried out in January 2026.
- Partial platform closuresWhile the bridge is being joined, certain passageways and walls around the platform must be closed temporarily.
